Losing Erin in 2002 is still a shock to us and to anyone that new her. I was at her bed side when she passed. She was so scared and her last look to me was like , " Can't you do something Dad? That look is always on my mind !
She had so much going for her and she was taking post graduate courses at USF. We wanted to add more significance to her young life; so we started the Erin Kay Flatley Memorial Foundation. It took 3 years of litigation to get the truth. We won on all counts monetarily and that is what allowed Erin to start the Sepsis Alliance and accomplish so many things to bring awareness to sepsis!
